Rachel

Hello!

Name:  Rachel
How long have you had Lorna Love?  since about 2004
Have you seen Lorna in concert?  Yes, I have SMMTM in Summer 2004 at the Savoy Theatre, London.  Babes in Arms in Chichester and White Christmas in Southampton and Edinburgh.
Favorite songs?  The Man that Got Away
Anything else?   I've had the honour of meeting her a few times and she's just one of the nicest people on the planet, with perhaps the most wicked sense of humour

Anyone else out there?

So it's been a VERY long time since I've posted here, and I wanted to give the community a little CPR.

Has anyone seen Lorna in "White Christmas"?  I checked her website and the show is still running until the end of this month.  Then there's two dates posted for SMMTM (YAY!).

I hereby leave you with picture I found on Corbis today :)

Lots of Lorna news :)

As many of you know, on Judy Garland's birthday (June 10th) a stamp was dedicated to her at Carnegie Hall- how fitting ;)  Lorna, along with her brother Joe and her kids Jesse and Vanessa, were there to celebrate- and Miss Liza's presence was there via video.  For more news on that, visit her website.

ALSO, if any of you are MySpace users you will probably shriek as I did earlier today... Lorna has a MySpace!!!!!!!  I friended her and left a totally retarded comment... who knows if she'll even see it!  Anyway, here's a link to her profile- http://www.myspace.com/lornaluft

I guess that's about all that I have... I leave you with a totally CUTE picture from the stamp commemoration:

Lorna was brilliant last night. ::Sigh:: I wish everyone could have been there with me. She did a lot of Peter Allan, Burt Bacharach, and a lot of the things she was in shows with like "Guys and Dolls" and "Promises, Promises." It was divine. She looked happy and healthy--and she certainly sounded healthy.

I got to hear a little bit of the show before mine as well, because my mother and I got there so early. I could really only hear when she belted though--and everytime I could hear her I'd grab on to my mother's arm. At one point she asked, "Why must you grab my arm everytime Lorna belts?" I said it was a reflex, but the more exact truth is that it always put shivers down my spine. It's beautiful.

Happy New Year, everyone! :)

Introduction...

Name: Emily
How long have you had Lorna Love? About 4 years.
Have you seen Lorna in concert? Yes! I saw her in June, and it was the first real concert I've ever been to. It was amazing! John Fricke happened to be there, so I met him, and then he took us back stage and we all hung out for a while :)
Favorite songs? "Birth of the Blues" is my favorite, and "The Whole World's Going Crazy" makes me laugh.
Anything else? I've been a Judy fan all of my life, more so in the past 4 1/2 years, though. I discovered Lorna through Judy, of course. I love me some Liza, too.
